Redcliff Tiny Tots is a non profit Childcare facility located in Redcliff Alberta. All of our staff take pride in giving each child the best early learning experience possible.
The Sprout room is aimed at teaching our newest learners. Designed to create a warm, safe and secure environment for our children. Each day consists of singing/music, books, edible art, fine motor, finger painting, indoor and outdoor gross motor play.
The Lily room is programmed for children ready to move up from the Sprout room. This room consists of more art, being more independent, enhancing their vocabulary, understanding sharing, learning through play based off of their interests.
The Buttercup room is a smaller classroom of six children and one staff. The children learn through play which is based off the children's interests. They are given the opportunity to explore different materials, and start learning some independence.
The Orchid room is for children who may be ready for potty training, or potty trained, more structured circle times, and continuing to develop independence, self help skills, along with social ,creative, physical and emotional skills.
The Daisy room programming is based off of the children's interests. They explore through different seasons, and holidays. The teachers bring in centers and loose parts materials for the children to explore with, helping them to develop their social, creative, emotional and physical selves. They continue to work on developing independence and self help skills.
Sunflowers room programming is based around what the children are engaged with and their core interests. Through play children are able to develop social skills, cognitive skills, and emotional regulation. Children are able to freely explore their environment and bring out what they would like throughout the day based on what they are interested in. This helps a child gain self confidence which will help them to engage in new environments and succeed getting them ready for Kindergarten.
We are lucky enough to have an indoor gross motor area. Children are able to access this area when the weather is too cold, too hot too windy etc. the children also love to access this area when they want just a bit of change from our outdoor play spaces :)
We care about your child's nutrition. We offer two nutritional snacks and one lunch daily. We have an in house cook prepare your child's meals each day.
We have 2 outside enclosed playgrounds. One is intended for car play with signs and gas stations and we recognize it as our safety City playground, while the other has slides, sand box, grass and sprinkler fun along with many other toys
The Director of Redcliff Tiny Tots, with a Level 2 in Early Childhood Education. Of my 25 years experience, 10 years have been with Redcliff Tiny Tots. I am married with 3 children, 2 girls and 1 boy. I absolutely love watching children, learn, grow, and develop.
Program Supervisor! Level 3 in Early Child hood education. Out of my 20 years experience in childcare, 8 years of those have been with Redcliff Tiny Tots. I am a wife and a mom and love spending time with my family. I grew up in the mountains but love the warm Medicine Hat weather. I genuinely love coming to work everyday and seeing all the smiling faces, while watching the children grow into fantastic little people.
On Maternity Leave! I graduated with my diploma in 2020 from the ELCC program. I completed two practicums at Redcliff Tiny Tots and was lucky enough to get to stay! I quite enjoy my arts and crafts, which really comes in handy being an early childhood educator. I love coming into work each morning and seeing the smiley faces and feeling the joy they bring to my life.
Teacher in our Lily room. I have over 6 years experience working in an Early Learning Center. I have a little girl who attended our center and she absolutely loved it! I am dedicated to the social and emotional development of each child
and make it my goal to make sure that each child gets the best care and love that they deserve.
Teacher in our Sprout room. I love spending time in nature, such as hiking, and camping. In the winter I love to ice fish. Fun Fact, I was born deaf so I have a cochlear implant. One thing I love about childcare is all the love and hugs I get. It's the most rewarding job. It can have it's challenges but the best is connecting and having relationships with the children and families. I have been working in childcare for 3 years and it's been so great.
I have always been interested in all creative things, such as, singing, acting, playing guitar and writing. I have a diploma in Child and Youth Care Counselling. I am originally from Ontario, and grew up play outside, and helping my grandparents with hauling wood and building a tree house for me and my siblings. I grew up with 5 siblings, and I have about 6 years of experience working with children professionally.
Miss Shelly is our fantastic cook. I am a mother of 2, daughter is 28, and my son is 25. I have been a child care educator for 20 years. I had taken a few years off and realized that I missed all the little people, and I had to come back. The best part of being in childcare is watching the children grow.
I'm Miss. T the teacher in the Daisy room! I have been working in childcare for almost 7 years and love all things messy! I look forward to finishing my childcare diploma, and getting to play and learn everyday with my new friends at Tiny Tots!
Hi I’m Liz! I completed the ELCC program in April 2022, and began working at Tiny Tots in May 2022. I absolutely love being here, and getting to watch as these children become their own people, and develop their own personalities. Aside from all the hugs, my favourite part of this job is when the children dive in and get super messy during art and sensory activities because that means they’re engaged and i’ve done my job
Hello! My name is Morgan and I am super excited to join the team at Tiny Tots! I’ve wanted to work with children my whole life, and I’m grateful I now have the opportunity to. I love seeing the kids learn new skills and have fun. I have a son who is the light of my life! And I can’t wait to further my education in ELCC.
In 2013 I started my professional childcare career working as a nanny and by 2018 I decided to continue in the field as an Early Child Educator completing my diploma/level 3 . Over the last 10 years I have worked with various ages including newborns to adolescents and truly enjoy getting to know each child that I work alongside! In the summer, I am actively engaged playing softball, and golf and in the winter I enjoy going to the mountains to snowboard. I am excited to join this team.
My name is McKenna Tietz, I am a graduate from Medicine Hat College ELCC program. Two of my four practicums were at Redcliff Tiny Tots, so I was very excited to be asked to stay after I had finished College, beginning April 2022. I grew up in Redcliff and I really enjoy the small town feel this community has to offer. When I am not working you can probably find me spending time with my family and my two dogs. I can't wait to get to know the families in the center.
I have worked in childcare for over 20 years working in different types philosophies including Montessori, running my own dayhome and child care centres in Medicine Hat. I live out in Redcliff and have 2 children of my own and spend my spare time watching them play the sports they love to play. I have always loved watching children gain a skill they have been working hard to master. I look forward to my time here at Tiny Tots
I am 25 years old and recently moved back to Medicine Hat and rejoined the team at Tiny Tots. I have an ELCC diploma and total of almost 6 years in childcare. Outside of work I spend most of my time outside and love bringing these hobbies and interests into the classroom for children to explore.
Hi, i'm Kaitlin! I'm so happy to be apart of the Tiny Tots team. I graduated in 2020 with my Educational Assistant diploma just before I had my son. I absolutely adore children and have wanted to work with them my whole life. These little humans bring so much joy to my day with their smiles and giggles. It's truly an honor watching them blossom in their own individual little ways
I love working with children because they are so full of life. I feel like everyday is a special day when you are dealing with children. I feel like we are a child's home away from home and that the love you get from each individual child is so special. They are our future and it is important to guide and nourish them in the beginning stages of their lives. I am excited to get to know the children and their families and to work together to insure the best outcome for each child.
